Food ingredients question!?

On the products, notably, Coca Cola. In the ingredients list it states something called 'flavour'. What is flavour? I mean, flavour can be lots of things. How do they get away with something just being called 'flavour'. If anyone could explain what this is I would be very grateful. Thank you.
